Her work pursues the engagement of her full physical and vocal instrument. She views authenticity, specificity, and deep listening in individual work to be a microcosm for how artists can joyfully collaborate in the rehearsal room and-beyond that-how we can be kind and conscious citizens out in the world.

MaryKate was born in San Francisco, spent her childhood in Philadelphia, lived in New York for seven years, spent a deeply formative year in Sacramento, and three years studying in Los Angeles. All of those places (and the people in them), and many more, have taught and continue to teach her what kind of artist she wants to be.

She received a BA in Philosophy and Theology from Fordham University (Rose Hill Honors College) and recently completed her MFA in Acting at California Institute of the Arts.

She currently works on both coasts, in Los Angeles and New York City.

MaryKate Glenn (she/her) is an actor, dancer, and movement artist. She brings a heightened state of physicality, precision and presence to every piece she is a part of—whether that is dance, contemporary naturalism, classical texts, or close-ups on screen.

Previous collaborations include: Prototype Festival, Beth Morrison Projects, Transport Group, fullscreen blackbox, Great River Shakespeare, November Theatre, CultureHub LA, The Useless Room, Triplets Amsterdam, and Teatr ZAR (resident company of the Grotowski Institute), among others.

She has worked and studied in New York City, Los Angeles, and internationally—leading and participating in physical theatre workshops in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Wrocław, Poland.
